According to the commercial advertisement, it said: "SST-125: at home on the road, this machine has the feature that motorcyclists worldwide demand: five-sped gearbox, alternator electrics, front hydraulic disc-brake, automatic oil injection, handlebar hape for ultimate control, superb handling and the greatest looks."

It's a new model based on the SS 125, but not just the name changed; the front-brake are new and also the buddy-seat changed. Other then that: a regular SS 125. The compressionrate was reduced from 10.8 : 1 to 10.7 : 1

The SST was not available in the Netherlands, the SS 125 stayed in stock until 1978 in the Netherlands (more then one year old).
